This month we are happy to introduce you to Farris Ibrahim. Farris joined Nuvera as the first employee 10 years ago and we have been fortunate that he has continued to share his expertise, insights, humor and several tasty drink recipes.
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list? I have been fortunate to do a lot of traveling in my life and been to some pretty great places. I was supposed to go to Santorini and Athens this summer, but the world had other plans, so that is going to stay on my list until I can get there.
What three words would your friends use to describe you? Dry-witted, loyal, surprising
What led you to this career? A desire to make a difference in the lives of people diagnosed and struggling with illness. I remember what it was like when I went through it and to be able to bring a voice and have my opinion matter to those that are helping shape an experience, led me to this career…and a little luck too.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit? Healthier eating and exercise. I am trying to be mindful without being neurotic about what I eat and trying to exercise every day. Feel free to shoot me a note if you want to hear about my progress and how I was inspired by my colleagues to get up and get moving.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Nuvera? How good I thought I was with PowerPoint and how much more I have been able to learn and do. Being open to feedback and learning from those around me has really helped improve beyond where I was or thought I could be.
Who would play you in a movie about your life? Somebody tall and good looking, because, hey why not? Perhaps also with a British accent in real life so that when people heard interviews they could say “Did you know the actor who played Farris has an accent?”
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? Enjoying a Barrel-aged Manhattan, with at least 2 Luxardo Maraschino Cherries
