As we continue to introduce you to our Squad, we are happy to share more about Sarah Klein. She has been with Nuvera over 5 years working behind the scenes as the senior operations manager. Keep reading to learn more about Sarah outside of work.
What’s your go-to productivity trick? I have to listen to music when I need to buckle down and get work done. Seems a bit counterintuitive but music has always helped me focus. However, it can’t be quiet or mellow, that is more of a distraction. It has to be upbeat and can vary from top hits, rock, rap, country, to house music, just depends on the day and my mood.
What three words would your friends use to describe you? Sarcastic, dependable, easygoing
What’s a trip that changed you, and why? Since the pandemic halted international travel, this year I have been lucky enough to escape in to nature and travel to several national parks and national forests in the US to appreciate our backyard more. It is truly fascinating to see the different landscapes and natural wonders that the country has to offer. The mountains and lakes of the Grand Tetons and Rocky Mountains are majestic, the steaming plains and cold rivers of Yellowstone are beautiful and bizarre at the same time, and the natural arches, needles, and island in the sky of Arches and Canyonlands are like another planet.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be? I have become more interested in photography lately and would love to know how to use all the photo editing apps like a pro and even get into some graphic design. There are so many tiny details and corrections that can be made to one picture, it is overwhelming trying to learn the steps. Becoming an expert in a snap would save me from a lot of frustration and few choice words.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I started playing soccer when I was 5 and always wanted to play for the US Women’s National Soccer Team. Obviously, that didn’t work out but I am still a big soccer fan and rarely miss one of their games. I even made my dog wear their jersey during the World Cup, she wasn’t thrilled.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be? It would be incredible to teleport of myself and others anywhere we wanted to go. I love to travel and explore but the expensive and long flights tend to get into the way. How great would it be to go anywhere in the world in minutes or even seconds for free!
