Afolabi joined Nuvera right after graduating from Tuck School of Business. Prior to Business school, Afolabi was a physician in Nigeria where he provided healthcare services to troops of the Nigerian Army and their families. Afolabi earned his Medical Degree from the University of Lagos in Nigeria, and outside work, he loves to spend time with his family, read books, and listen to podcasts.

Motivation for Joining Nuvera

“I loved clinical practice as it gave me opportunities to provide quality care to patients individually. However, due to the inefficiencies of the healthcare system in Nigeria, providing healthcare services was quite challenging. My goal is to learn about the best practices in the business of healthcare and, in the long term, use those learnings to contribute to the development of healthcare systems in Nigerian.
